Task Responsibilities: Manage the Trucking Operations staff and department. Optimize operational and organizational processes Manage defined projects and assist with their implementation Ensurethe daily coordination with handling agents, trucking companies and outstations is executed Provide customer support by ensuring quick and efficiently reaction to all internal and external transportation operations related customer requests Ensure sustainable service quality Ensure stable operations such as TSS, TMS, etc. Control the task executions, the adherence to procedures and instructions on daily planning and monitoring and perform regular performance analysis Negotiate and agree ad hoc truck pricing of transportation, update systems and files asper procedures Ensure adherence to principle guidelines of Hub operation and to CV performance targets Ensure and improve continuously the application of business, communication and decision rules inside CV organization Ensure compliance in regard to Safety with the provisions of eCARE manual, the Security program and other corporate policies Essential Requirements For The Position: College degree or relevant professional qualification Financial awareness Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations Experience in planning and managing of staff, duties and tasks Customer and result oriented, willingness to change, self motivated, loyal to colleagues and management, leadership skills (assertiveness, instruct staff to do tasks, decision making), team player Ability to establish and maintain good customer relations Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative Positive attitude and excellent communication skills Innovative, creative and open to change Passionate for achieving targets and objectives DGR / ADR awareness AVI, TSC (GDP) Process knowledge through cross cutting understanding of end to end value chain (i.e. ops procedures of service providers), fundamental comprehension of GHAs procedures (i.e. physical handling processes, messaging), in depth know how of cargo airlines standards and procedures (i.e. reservation, trucking and network management) and experienced with operational IT systems relevant for steering Analytical, evaluation and steering competence Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages are a distinct advantage Working Conditions: Position demands a regular and full time presence on site Vacation and absences should be planned in a way that they do not conflict with service requirements Position holder is based in Luxembourg Occasional travel may be requested Flexibility is occasionally needed with working hours Position holder has to be on call for internal and external affair Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Fuhrungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
