Business Development Manager RAIL (m/w/d)
For the further development and expansion of market share in EMEA, as well as the support of our customers, we are currently looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager RAIL (m/f/d) for either home office or the Krefeld location. In this position, you will be the driving force for customer acquisition and expansion in our Rail/Transportation market, aligning with our global dynamic growth strategy. You are adept in sales with a technical and project-oriented perspective. Your role includes persuading our customers to upgrade their existing Cattron radio remote controls to the current generation. Additionally, you will advise customers on the latest requirements regarding standards, encryption technology, and SIL levels.
Your responsibilities:
* Increase market share with specific measures targeting key accounts/customers
* Ensure market share and product placement in the market
* Explore new business fields, sales markets, products, new customers, and partners
* Develop existing business fields further
* Identify new product opportunities while always keeping market requirements in mind
* Definition and implementation of sales strategies for accelerated growth
* Support the company in actively responding to changing economic conditions and markets
* Creation of trend forecasts
* Establishment of strategic alliances
* Strategy development, creation of business plans
* Monitoring and reporting
* Responsibility for achieving sales targets
* Analysis of the competitive situation
* Representing our company at national and international trade shows and sales events
Qualifications:
* Completed degree or training with an electrical engineering focus, e.g., electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, industrial engineering
* Minimum of five years of experience in a comparable position and strong interpersonal and organizational skills
* Analytical thinking to grasp complex requirements and develop appropriate solutions
* Entrepreneurial acumen and creativity for developing new business fields
* Confident demeanor, negotiation skills, and high communication and teamwork abilities
* Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
* Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* High willingness to travel (approximately 50% of working time) to attend meetings with clients on-site
