FundPartner Solutions provides a full suite of fund administration and private label funds services. The global team of industry experts specialises in fund domiciliation, registration and governance, as well as risk compliance and investment management services.
Technology & Operations design and integrate software applications ranging from portfolio management systems, trading platforms to banking and corporate solutions. The division is responsible for some of the Group’s key innovations while sustaining business operations and developing custodian and funds administration services.
To support our operations and change, we are looking for a Data Analyst with good knowledge of the fund industry. You will be a member of the Quality Control & Mobile team, reporting to the head of the team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that inform and support strategic decision-making across the organization. You will work with various departments to analyse data usage, trends and patterns, ensuring that our business strategies are backed by solid evidence. Occasionally you will help the production teams during peak periods.
Your role
Depending on the project assigned to you, you may be responsible for the following tasks:
* Data Collection – you will gather data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and spreadsheets in order to ensure data integrity and maintain, update, contribute to the building of data repositories as foreseen by the Data Program.
* Data Analysis – based on the Data Program roadmap, you will conduct exploratory data analysis to understand usage, patterns and relationships.
* Reporting and Visualization – upon clients (internal or external) request, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visual reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Those reports or dashboards could address business day-to-day activities, reconciliation or ad-hoc reporting.
* Collaboration and Support - work closely with other teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Help them upon request to interpret data and applying insights to improve business processes and strategies. Participate in project meetings to provide data-driven recommendations and insights.
* Facilitate communication between users, IT stakeholders and clients.
* Testing – Contribute to testing in collaboration with a Business Analyst, write test cases to validate changes.
* Support operational teams in their daily tasks during peak periods.
* Identifying areas of improvement in terms of the process and control framework.
* Contributing to the implementation of key quality control deliverables such as KPIs and the procedure framework review.
Your profile
Qualifications and experience:
* University degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or Management.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience gained through a similar role and/or an operational role in funds industry.
* Strong understanding of the investment funds industry.
Technical knowledge:
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools.
* Ability to understand the technology to easily communicate with IT Stakeholders.
* Experience in creating interactive dashboards and visual reports using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools will be deemed as a distinguished advantage.
* Proficient in gathering and managing data from diverse sources, ensuring data integrity.
* Experience in exploratory data analysis to identify trends and relationships within data.
* Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) for data manipulation and analysis.
Languages:
* Fluency in both English and French for effective communication across diverse teams.
Personal qualities:
* Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* Ability to gather user feedback to enhance tool functionality and user experience.
* Strong skills in communicating updates and addressing concerns with stakeholders effectively.
* Self-motivated, independent, flexible and well organised.
