Join our dynamic team at the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of payments in Luxembourg and beyond. The ABBL represents over 220 banks and professionals of the financial sector, promoting the sustainable development of regulated, innovative, and responsible banking services in Luxembourg.
Your position
As an Adviser in Payments, you will drive key initiatives, coordinate working groups, and contribute to the advancement of innovative payment solutions while ensuring compliance with evolving regulations at both national and European levels.
Your tasks
* Regulatory analysis and Advocacy:
* Analyze draft legislative texts and develop amendments to advocate at both national and European levels, particularly concerning regulations like PSD3, Digital Euro, and Instant Payments.
* Expert support:
* Draft technical payment guidelines tailored to the Luxembourg market.
* Become the point of contact for ABBL members in relation to payments requests.
* Facilitation and Coordination:
* Lead and coordinate ABBL working groups focused primarily on payments and associated topics.
* Represent ABBL and its members in European forums (e.g., EPC, EBF) and local working groups to advocate for the interests of Luxembourg's financial sector.
* Project Management:
* Coordinate and oversee member-supported projects, including surveys, market studies, and communication campaigns.
* Manage the SEPA community in Luxembourg, ensuring alignment with regional and international standards.
* Communication:
* Draft articles for press releases and ABBL newsletters to inform and engage stakeholders.
* Support the planning and execution of meetings, events, and webinars together with internal and external stakeholders.
* Team work:
* Actively participate in the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery of objectives.
Your profile
* A Bachelor or Master’s degree in business and finance or other relevant fields.
* A minimum of 5 years of professional experience, ideally within the payments industry.
* Solid knowledge of Payments’ industry (SEPA payment schemes / rulebooks, card & mobile payments, request-to-pay, SWIFT,…).
* Good comprehension of European regulations in payments and digitalization.
* Strong organisational and analytical skills, combined with excellent written and verbal communication.
* Fluency in English is a must, proficiency in French is required.
* Proactive, curious, able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
