Your mission As Microcontroller Architect at Q.ANT you will be responsible for the architectural design, development, and integration of the microcontroller unit for our photonic co-processor. Key Responsibilities Architectural Design and Development: Define the architecture and design of microcontroller unit, including core components, peripherals, and interfaces Develop high-level detailed design specifications Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of MCU designs System Requirements and Specifications: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements Translate system requirements into detailed technical specifications and architectural designs Integration and Testing: Oversee the integration of microcontroller designs into larger systems and platforms Develop and execute test plans to validate MCU functionality, performance, and reliability Identify and resolve hardware and software issues during the development process Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive system design and implementation Communicate architectural decisions, design changes, and technical challenges to stakeholders and team members Project Management: Lead and manage microcontroller development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project milestones Coordinate with project managers to align project goals, timelines, and resources Your profile Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in microcontroller design and development Proven experience in architectural design and system integration of MCUs Technical Skills: Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures, instruction sets, and peripherals. Proficiency in hardware description languages (HDLs) such as VHDL or Verilog Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS) Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and assembly language. Preferred Qualifications Experience with low-power and high-performance MCU designs Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Work Environment You will work in our office in Stuttgart Vaihingen Occasional travel may be required for meetings, conferences, or site visits About us Who we are and what we do Q.ANT is a high-tech startup driving and industrialising photonic quantum technology, pushing the borders to new fields of application and processes.
