At BioNTech, our Data Privacy Team ensures compliance with data protection regulations, provides information on data protection obligations, advises on projects and acts as a point of contact for customers, patients and employees on all data protection issues. To this end, the Data Privacy Team liaises with almost all internal departments. The team is involved when new software is introduced, or clinical studies are conducted. You will provide strategic data privacy guidance and support to business stakeholders, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
You ensure that infrastructure and practices align with privacy obligations and best practices
You will review, draft, and negotiate data privacy terms in contracts, data processing agreements, and other legal documents
You will serve as a subject matter expert to internal teams on new and emerging privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other pertinent data protection laws
You will support training and awareness campaigns
You support the management and creation of data protection materials such as our data protection policy, guidelines, FAQs, etc.
You have a degree in law, business law or business informatics and meaningful additional qualifications such as training or further training or relevant professional experience in data protection law
You have very good specialist knowledge in the field of data protection; you are already familiar with the regulations of the GDPR, as well as the current case law in data protection law in the EU
Interest and willingness to further develop your knowledge in the field of data protection
You can present complex things in an understandable way
More than 3 years of professional experience in data protection law is an advantage
Enhanced ethical behaviour with the ability to handle information with confidence and remain impartial
You are self-organised and may have previous project experience
You ideally have expertise in information processing and security
