Position Overview:
This role focuses on Labour and Employment laws, regulations, policies, and practices as they relate to employees across Europe, including Germany (the office you'll be working out of), the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, and the UK. The position involves providing guidance and counsel on local and international negotiations, as well as employee relations matters. The role is responsible for interpreting and resolving internal and external business challenges related to Labour and Employment.
Responsibilities:
* Offer legal counsel on a variety of strategic issues, such as:
* Local and cross-border employee matters and inquiries.
* Project-related work, including restructuring, redundancies, and outsourcing, as well as non-routine employment litigation.
* Support for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
* Employee discipline, grievances, terminations, and the drafting and negotiation of separation agreements for senior personnel.
* Identifying legal risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
* Overseeing compliance initiatives and investigations with a focus on Labour & Employment issues.
