We are currently looking for a competent Linux System Administrator (m/f/d) to join our service team in Dresden on a full-time, on-site basis.
The Linux System Administrator will be part of our dedicated service team providing essential IT support. Our team specializes in providing reliable support and service in the areas of networking, security, storage and Linux-based infrastructure.
Working with colleagues (m/f/d), the Linux System Administrator will have the opportunity to contribute to various tasks according to their background and skill level. This includes developing and configuring networks, implementing firewall and security solutions, working with scale-out storage and providing support to virtualized environments (VMWare and Docker). In view of the diverse skills within our team, applicants (m/f/d) with different IT backgrounds in system and network administration are very welcome. As our clientele is multinational, we offer support in German and English.
Design, implement and support network solutions, primarily with HP / Aruba technology
Support and implementation of monitoring and security solutions such as firewalls and intrusion detection
Support and implement general Linux-based infrastructure services as part of a team
Support of Linux-based scale-out storage
Support for virtualization services such as VMWare and Docker
We provide training and support to help candidates expand their skills and learn more about the technology areas they are interested in.
A university degree or equivalent in an IT-related or scientific field - or a good explanation of why your chosen career path gives you equivalent skills.
At least 3 years' experience in Linux system administration
Basic Linux scripting knowledge
Knowledge and experience in network and IT security
Open-mindedness and a desire to learn about other cultures are an advantage, as our environment is highly international.
Fluency in German and English with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
