We are looking for a Technical Security Specialist who will be responsible for all tactical Technical and Physical Security matters across a given TJX Europe geography, in order to protect the Associates, Assets and Brand of TJX Europe.
This role is field based, with up to 50% travel expected.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Using technical software and specialist knowledge of systems, equipment and risks. Design, project manage and oversee appropriate installation of Physical Security systems to ensure consistency across the business, be these new stores, remodels, relocations or on-off buildings.
* Partnering effectively with internal and external project managers to ensure all installations are carried out within the project deadlines; attending site; conducting in-depth, detailed Handovers and ensuring all systems and products are configured as per the Concept Description and operating correctly. Manage exceptions and provide solutions to facilitate deadlines being met.
* Combine specialist technical security and IT networking knowledge to partner with TJX IT to ensure systems are performing as expected, with limited down time.
* Regularly conduct Health checks to ensure the stability and consistency of key Technical Security Systems, especially those on the Genetec platform, including but not limited to, CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, EAS, Intercoms and Public Announcements.
* Manage all TJX Europe Physical and Technical Security systems in a designated geography on a day-to-day basis, acting as liaison between sites and 3rd party Account managers and engineers.
* Provide on-site/remote application/systems support as required, via remote desktop admin connections/local Windows admin/Ericom access as appropriate.
* Verify relevant Capex and Purchase Orders raised for equipment/services ensuring that expenditure is within appropriate budget.
* Using relevant available information, identify areas of risk to the business, research technical solutions, develop business cases and financial justification to relevant stakeholders.
* Working with key stakeholders and suppliers design, create and keep updated user guides and training materials, to ensure operational best practice regarding use of all physical security systems.
* Provide as necessary, demonstrations of new equipment/technologies and ongoing support to up skill all relevant business partners to ensure their safe and effective use.
KEY SKILLS, KNOWELDGE & EXPERIENCE
* A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience working in a role based in Technical Security.
* Demonstrable knowledge of Technical Security Systems, including but not limited to: IP Networked CCTV, Intruder Alarms, EAS systems and Access Control
* Experience in understanding complexity of working across multiple jurisdictions
* Strong communication skills with ability to portray technical knowledge to business partners with varying degrees of understanding
* Strong organisational skills with ability to work to tight deadlines, act on own initiative in a logical and decisive manner
* A creative problem solver and team builder with a high degree of integrity
* Strong PC Skills (Microsoft Office Applications)
* Fluent English skills are essential as well as good German or Polish written/spoken skills
* European Driving Licence
* Willingness to travel internationally, plus in-country, sometimes at short notice
* Can operate in or with a matrixed environment
