The Fuell Cell Program Manager is responsible to lead new product development project for the assigned customer across multiple geographical regions to achieve planned profitability, quality and on time schedule to meet business and Customer expectations : for that he needs to coordination multi functionnal team ranging from engineering team (mechanical, electrical and software), proto team, launch buyer, product assurance, manufacturing team.
Key Job Areas and Responsibilities
Initiate & Planning
• Initiate/Create the project and scope definition including (1) planning, (2) resource allocation, (3) financial summary, (4) technical information, (5) manufacturing and (6) supplier strategy, linked to new application development.
• Develop a detailed project plan per the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) of the NPI process with allocated resources and deliverables to each step
• Align the timing plan with (1) customer development and (2) linked base product development key milestones
• Maintain the project plan regularly with accurate data and escalate to the customer and key stakeholders any deviations to the baseline
Execution
• Deliver to commitment as per scope, cost, quality, timing and deliverables of the project, in line with organizational strategy and goals
• Implement and drive a robust review mechanism with stakeholders to execute successfully the agreed plan
• In case of any deviation to baseline, follow NPI change management process to identify and drive mitigation actions to address any issues compromising the initial objectives
• Identify & deploy any project modification following NPI change management process
• Manage customer change request following NPI chanage management process
Objectives
• Drive customer satisfaction and seek for regular feedback on launch performance
• Monitor, achieve and report Program management KPIs
Risk Management
• Assess and identify risks (technical, manufacturing, supplier, business/ cost, baseline)
• Anticipate risks into planning
• Mitigate risks (action plan and execution) and escalate to leadership when required
Financial Management
• Plan, secure and control Product cost evolution through Lead Engineer (BOM cost)
• Plan, secure and control Project Budget and resources expenses (RD&E, CAPEX) including customer funding
Leadership & People Management
• Delegate efficiently to the team members and stakeholders and hold them accountable to the agreed targets
• Resolve conflict between project stakeholders
• Motivate the team to adhere to the agreed plan and deliver per target
• Influence decisions to a positive outcome for the project completion
• Coaching and leading by example the project team across cultures and geographical regions
Communication
• Report accurate forecast of your project portfolio, monitor implementation and escalate to the Leadership team any deviations on budget (CAPEX, RD&E), deliverables, resources etc.
• Lead regular project reviews with the stakeholders such as (1) Project Review Meeting, (2) Escalation meetings, (3) Deep dive review on unresolved issues
• Prepare and present a formal status report to relevant committees and obtain approval at key project Phase Gate exit reviews
• Authorize sourcing and manufacturing activities
• Listening to stakeholders’ needs and address concerns
• Tailor communication to audience
Education/Experience and Qualifications:
• University degree or Post graduation in Engineering or Management or Business Administration
• Program Management experience (10 years +) or relevant experience in a similar function
• Strong knowledge in program management discipline - Multi-system integration-Scope and Schedule management (and Product development/Engineering or Sales or Supply Base or Quality, Logistics)
• Basic understanding of the product/technical background in order to comfortably handle technical topics (mechanical, electronic, softwar ) with Engineering/NPI team
• Customer facing working experience is a plus
• Good insight in financial drivers, at ease with relevant financial metrics Strategy and Marketing Planning (STRAP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP) experience
• IT (Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, A-spice / Jira etc.)
• Foreign language – English fluent – German welcome
• Multitask on multi-projects, multi-customer, multi-region and multi-technologies
• Six Sigma Certified (nice to have)
• Program Management Professional Certification Preferred (nice to have)
