The Territory Account Manager (GermanSpeaking) is responsible for the strategic and tactical managementof defined accounts in your territory including focusing onexisting relationships and generation of new business opportunitiesat leading academic and biopharma accounts within the region youcover. In order to deliver on revenue expectations, theTerritory Account Manager will need to build deep partnerships withkey users at named accounts and nurture large opportunities througha pipeline/funnel. You will proactively make outbound calls,schedule customer visits in your assigned territory and nurtureleads from marketing through toopportunities.
This position reports to the SalesDirector, EMEA and is part of the EMEA Sales team and will belocated in Germany and will be remote. At Abcam, our vision is tobe the most influential life sciences company for researchersworldwide.
In thisrole, you will have the opportunityto:
* Utilise technicalexpertise and strategic thinking to identify and drive revenuegrowth within named focus accounts by identifying new opportunitiesto develop business across our full range of products andservices.
* Work cross-functionally to develop anaccount plan for high potential accounts in your territory thatsupports our specific business objectives; implement supportingactivities, develop key contacts and achieve the revenue goals foreach organisation.
* Provide regular salesforecasts to management regarding both financial and proactiveactivities output conducted in alignment with individual objectivesand revenue goals for your territory.
* Adopt theSales Cloud CRM system and use its functionality and content tomanage leads, opportunities and provide insight intoaccounts.
* Continually provide market feedbackto the organisation around customer trends, market development andcompetitive activities observed within yourterritory.
Theessential requirements of the jobinclude:
* Fluent in bothEnglish and German language - strong written and verbalrequired
* BSc in a lifescience discipline (or equivalency in a commercial discipline) withstrong experience selling into life science market and experiencein protein research, immunology and Immunohistochemistrypreferred
* Ability to build and leveragerelationships both internally and externally with key stakeholdersto achieve desired results, working across a multi-siteteam
* Proficient in managing customer interfaceand relationship both at scientific end-user level anddecision-making level
* Professional,confident, credible and an enthusiastic team player able to workeffectively
Travel,Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/EnvironmentRequirements:
* Travel, bothdomestic and international is required of up to 70%. Thiswill include face-to-face meetings with customers, attendance atconferences, and travelling to sales meetings. There will beoccasional international trips for sales meetings or intercompanymeetings.
Itwould be a plus if you also possess previous experiencein:
* MSc or Ph.D. in Biologyor related field
* Demonstratable experience inselling solutions and services across complex researchworkflows
* History of established relationshipwith KOLs in territoryaccounts
