Job Description We are looking for interns that will be focusing on energy modelling and on quantitative analysis. The focus of the internship can vary between the two and can be summarised in three main tasks: Model Development: In collaboration with our traders, enhance our in-house models used for trading. The quantitative analyst role will focus on developing e.g. systematic trading strategies, risk assessments and/or short-term price forecasting models. The energy modeler role will mainly work on our fundamental energy system models, exploring how short-term changes in the energy system impacts the intraday price movements and/or refine our renewable energy forecasting models. For both roles, you’ll use machine learning, time series analysis, and/or statistical data analysis Operational Support: Contribute to daily operations through coding and reporting tasks Trading Insights: Shadow our intraday trading activities and identify opportunities for model or trading strategy improvements. You may also develop your own trading strategies and potentially test their performance in the actual market supported by our traders Note that you will receive an extensive onboarding from our traders and that you have enough time to become familiar with our programming infrastructure and the way we work in Statkraft. We will support you in developing your skills and becoming a valuable member of our Intraday Power Trading Team.
