As a Senior Finance Manager (f/m/d), you will take full ownership of all financial matters within our organization. Your scope includes Accounting, Controlling/FP&A, Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting, Treasury, and Audit Coordination. You will work closely with the Co-Founder as a sparring partner and serve as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders. Over time, you will also have the opportunity to lead and develop a growing finance team.
Your Role with us
* Financial Management
You are responsible for managing all financial topics across the organization, including accounting, monthly and annual closings, and ensuring compliance with applicable financial standards.
* Controlling, Budgeting & Forecasting
You lead our FP&A efforts by developing and maintaining budgets, forecasts, and reports to provide meaningful insights and support data-driven decision-making.
* Audit & Tax Coordination
You manage the full audit process, coordinate with tax advisors for the preparation of financial statements and ensure proper documentation and compliance with local regulations.
* Accounts Payable & Receivable
You will oversee the accounts payable as well as accounts receivable in collaboration with our commercial team, and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all transactions.
* External Stakeholder Management
You act as the primary point of contact for banks, tax authorities, auditors, and other external advisors, while also supporting the team on all finance-related internal questions.
* Team Development
You will have the opportunity (perspectively) to take over the leadership of a Junior Finance Manager and actively shape the development of the finance team.
What you bring to the table
* Education & Experience
o Completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a comparable qualification with focus on Finance & Accounting
o Several years of professional experience in Accounting and Controlling / FP&A
o Alternatively: further education as Certified Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) combined with several years of relevant experience
* Professional Skills
o Sound knowledge of financial reporting, planning, accounting and closing processes especially year end closing & auditing
o Proficiency in DATEV and MS Office (especially Excel)
o Experience with Jedox is a strong plus
o Experience working in a startup environment is a big advantage
* Work Style & Soft Skills
o Hands-on mentality and ability to work independently
o Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial issues
o Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
* Language Skills
o Very good written and spoken German and English
