Sales Manager / Head of Sales – DACH Region

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager / Head of Sales to lead and grow our client's commercial efforts across the DACH region. This is a player-manager role, meaning you will be responsible for both direct sales and leading a team of four Account Directors. You will drive revenue growth, develop key customer relationships, and ensure the success of your team in a highly competitive colocation and data center market.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
* Lead, mentor, and coach a team of four Account Directors across the DACH region.
* Set clear sales targets, performance metrics, and strategic goals for the team.
* Provide hands-on support in high-value customer engagements and deal negotiations.
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Sales & Business Development
* Personally drive new business acquisition and revenue growth within key enterprise, cloud, and hyperscale accounts.
* Identify and develop strategic opportunities within the colocation, edge computing, and data center services market.
* Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, IT decision-makers, and procurement teams.
* Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for the DACH region, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
* Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in edge computing and colocation services.
* Provide market insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform business strategy.
* Represent our client at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Collaboration & Reporting
* Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on customer needs and service offerings.
* Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to senior management.
* Ensure CRM systems and sales processes are maintained and optimized for efficiency.
Key Requirements
Experience & Skills
* 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role within the colocation, data center, cloud, or IT infrastructure industry.
* Proven track record of managing high-performance sales teams and exceeding revenue targets.
* Strong understanding of the DACH market and experience selling to enterprise, cloud, and hyperscale clients.
* Ability to balance individual sales contributions with leadership responsibilities.
* Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with hyperscalers, MSPs, and large enterprises.
* Familiarity with edge computing, interconnection services, and hybrid cloud solutions.
* Strong network within the DACH data center and IT infrastructure ecosystem.

* Competitive base salary of €120,000-€130,000k (Negotiable) + uncapped commission at 1.5% of TCV.
