Job Description Summary Mission: Lead Buyer for Professional & Labor Services on Grid Solutions GSI Substation Business. The Commodity Buyer is responsible for the performance of the associated suppliers from tendering stage (ITO) to execution (OTR). She/He addresses customer specific requirements for each project while assuring best practices sharing continuous improvement among other commodity buyers. She/He supports also the existing Sourcing team for the purchase of other materials and services needed for our projects. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers. Actively driving the communication towards suppliers to improve partnership and collaboration Prepare and launch RFQ`s, negotiate the contracts in coordination with the internal stakeholders and transmit information to Procurement Prioritize contract (re)negotiation, anticipate information gathering and discussions to accelerate contract agreement in OTR Streamline the onboarding process based on supplier market constraints, make explicit Product Line risk appetite by nature of risks review during onboarding Coordinate the assessment of the supplier’s performance, to manage the on-going contracts execution and to influence the strategic positioning for next deals Map the supplier market per capabilities, business interest, past performance, geographical area for each segment Share market evolutions, key indexes, best practices within the team and across other GE organizations, templates, checklists Scope and responsibilities may evolve depending on the context and the profile of the candidate Desired Characteristics Project sourcing and negotiations skills Ability to understand and execute commodity strategies Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to influence others Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously Effective problem identification and solution skills Ability to work in a team and matrix organization Qualification/Requirement Expertise in Project Contract Management, Engineering or Strategic Sourcing At least 3 years of working experience Strong oral and written communication skills Language: German (B2 level required) and English Office Software (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook) Ability to work in a global environment Hybrid Office Model Accepted Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
