Hauptaufgaben Serves as Supply Technician for the SLOC: AEJ Global Combat Support System (GCSS)-Army Warehouse for several thousands of stock items. Assists the Warehouse supervisor in establishing procedures for the identification, requisitioning, procurement, stockage, storage issue, receipt and accountability of sensitive and major end items, class VII and class IX equipment. Informs activity chiefs and unit supply sergeants in procedures and related actions as they affect material turn-ins with Higher Headquarters and staff members briefing attendees in USAREUR unique changes. Incumbent is also primarily responsible to coordinate the supply and technical support for the current Ukraine mission and the ERF (European Rotational Forces). Controls and monitors the flow of documents entering and leaving the branch. Maintains a variety of control records reflecting all supply transactions affecting the stock of the organization. Acts as source of information for the organizational elements, e.g., Storage Planning, Stock Control, Inventory Management, Surveillance, etc., pertaining to the status of any supply transactions. Works with supply specialists in preparing automated procedures for annual wall to wall and 10%-inventories. Completes and changes documents if necessary, indicating supply data. Clears discrepancies with personnel concerned. Processes requests for approximately 1500 items/major items such as machine guns, gas masks, electronic equipment (voltmeters and oscilloscopes), trucks, tanks, personnel carriers, etc. Checks documents for compliance with manifest. Determines the priority input for unexpected supply actions like high priority request from higher sources. Making recommendations to higher grade supply technicians to solve supply problems. Maintains registers of receipts by quantity, type of items, lot number, etc. Consolidates data upon completion of storage operations with supply documents. Clarifies discrepancies by contacting personnel concerned. Prepares reports of item discrepancy and maintains registers on these reports. Distributes supply documents to organizational elements concerned. Makes recommendations to add or delete items for authorized stockage. Prepares specific input for GCSS-Army computerized system, to process, expedite and deliver urgently required items to supporting training units. Maintains control records of all supply transactions connected with shipment, warehousing activities, and transfer by indicating such data as: Type of items, lot numbers, quantity, locations (from/to), type and number of carriers, etc. Distributes pertinent documents to personnel/ depot organizational elements concerned. Coordinates delivery actions with transportation office and maintains records of all containers, reflecting complete status as to location, loaded, unloaded/ available, container number, etc. Maintains responsibility for the preparation and daily consolidation of activity reports for the storage operations. Indicates such data as quantity of material shipped, received, warehoused, or transferred; man-hours spent, supplies consumed under the different activity accounts, etc. Keeps records about internal SOPs and issues same to personnel concerned. Obtains signatures on documents prepared by crew chiefs. Processes serviceable and unserviceable issues and turn-ins Processes and transfer required items to pertinent category. Assigns picking tags for stock on a daily basis, checks Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army) transactions and corrects errors. Prepares changes, deletions and additions which are input after the monthly cycle into the daily cycle. As a supply technician, incumbent must be qualified and able to fill temporary vacancies in all departments of RSSA. Performs other duties as assigned.
