Responsibilities Team management and project overview: Through your strong leadship skills you will strategically direct and empower the project management teams. You keep a constant eye on the progress and costs of all projects and work with your team to ensure that the machines are produced and delivered on time and exactly according to customer specifications. Intensive communication and interface management: In close and direct coordination with customers and internal departments (Sales, Engineering, Operations and Service), you will ensure a transparent exchange. This enables you to quickly recognise and resolve change requests and deviations. Budget and post-calculation: During the project, you will consistently monitor budget compliance. Once the project has been completed, you will analyse the data obtained in a post-calculation and use the findings specifically for future quotation calculations for machines and services. Sales support and customer care: You will be a valuable support for the sales department and will be responsible for looking after important key customers, which may involve occasional travelling. Quality and cost management: You organise project management with a view to quality and costs, plan capacities and resources with foresight and ensure continuous cost optimisation within your area of responsibility. Promoting innovation in project management: You will also be responsible for professionalising and increasing the efficiency of project management by introducing new tools and methods and making optimum use of existing tools. Target definition and risk management: You set project targets, define schedules and assess project risks. You counter deviations at an early stage and implement targeted measures to minimise risks. Project progress and reporting: You maintain and update the project plan, coordinate the collaboration of all teams involved and ensure that targets are met. You regularly report on the progress of the project to the management and Product Line Manager. Profile Technical degree and qualification: You have a successfully completed technical degree (e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial engineering) or a comparable qualification. Experience and expertise: You have several years of management & leadership experience in project management in mechanical engineering, preferably in the field of laser technology. Sound knowledge of modern project and teamwork techniques and, ideally, agile methods round off your profile. Business acumen and sales expertise: You have good business management skills and experience in selling capital goods that require explanation. Personal skills: The ability to work in a team, work independently, show initiative, a strong hands-on mentality and very good communication skills characterise you.
