You will play a key role in steering Hapag-Lloyd’s transition to a modern infrastructure landscape and platform-based operating model. The EAO function is mandated to build the required internal capabilities to effectively deliver its functional remit, and the initiatives required to deliver the portfolio of outcomes for which EAO is responsible: this role will coordinate the realisation of this. This position requires a seasoned portfolio and transformation program manager with extensive experience overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects in international settings, who is motivated to drive impactful change within an organization. Responsibilities The EAO Portfolio & Transformation Manager (m/f/d) will be accountable for: Develop and implement a comprehensive transformation management framework that supports the alignment of EAO transformation projects with the broader EAO strategy, emphasizing best practices in resource utilization and project governance Ensure that projects within the EAO transformation portfolio are correctly sequenced and prioritized to optimize resource allocation and create most value Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of portfolio and project management practices, including risk assessment and change management processes, to ensure that all projects are managed effectively and contribute to the success of the overall transformation program Establish and implement standardized reporting methodologies across the EAO portfolio. This will facilitate efficient management of resources, budgets, and progress tracking, ensuring transparency and alignment Define, manage, and oversee the financial aspects of the IT infrastructure transformation program, ensuring effective budget control across all projects while maintaining accountability for resource allocation within respective areas The key stakeholders are: (Senior) IT leadership Project and Platform Teams External Service Providers Qualifications Proven experience managing complex portfolios and IT transformation projects in large organizations Wide-ranging IT infrastructure know-how and experience in diverse technical environments will support managing these portfolios effectively Skilled in applying risk management and change control principles to maintain project stability and continuity Experience in negotiating infrastructure related contracts and working efficiently with external suppliers Ability to align portfolio outcomes with broader organizational objectives, coupled with a data-driven approach to evaluate and communicate project value Excellent communication skills to engage and influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders Ability to work collaboratively with others while also possessing the leadership skills necessary to guide or develop a team Experience in the shipping or logistics industry is a plus and will be highly valued Focused on delivering project outcomes that support EAO needs and overall business objectives, demonstrating accountability and adaptability A team-oriented approach with a proactive and pragmatic attitude toward identifying and addressing project needs and improvements
