We are on the lookout for a Principal, Group Accountant (full-time or part-time) to join the Group Accounting team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

As a Principal, Group Accounting, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial reporting and accounting activities for our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of international accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial information, compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Delivery Hero Group and all its subsidiaries. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
2. Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and accurate application. Provide guidance on complex accounting transactions and resolve accounting issues as they arise.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as finance, treasury, tax, and legal to gather necessary information and ensure accurate financial reporting. Collaborate with our Group auditors during annual audits and reviews.
4. Team Player: Provide guidance and training to junior members of the Group Accounting team. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
5. Exciting Projects: Participate in special projects, by contributing to our M&A activities through financial due diligence or valuation as required.
Qualifications
6. Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in accounting and financial reporting & in-depth knowledge of international accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
9. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, ideally with Big Four experience in international audit or consulting.
10. Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is a strong asset.
11. Advanced proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software and reporting tools.
