As Global Commodity Manager for Office and Factory Supplies (OFS) you are working across all lifecycle stages of commercial opportunities. By analyzing spend and contract data, you identify commercial opportunities to drive Siemens Energy forward. With your creative und pragmatic ideas you can develop plans to exploit these commercial opportunities. Furthermore, you have the ability to negotiate with suppliers and get your targets through. Additionally, you have a good feeling for business and partner needs to satisfy their demands. How You’ll Make an Impact
4. Drives, reviews and aligns the Development of a balanced global commodity strategy for the purchase of Office and Factory Supplies, together with our Business Process Outsourcing Partner (BPO)
5. Supports in negotiating favorable contract & commercial terms and conditions
6. Supports efficiently the procurement processes ( demand planning, conducting market analyses, invitations to RfX, supplier scouting/selection/developing, negotiating & awarding), together with our external BPO partner
7. Monitors existing/new frame agreements for revealing commercial opportunities
8. Collaborates with cross-functional colleagues to ensure all category sourcing activities are aligned to a common set of goals and priorities and build positive relationship with key partners to ensure alignment procurement objectives and business needs
9. Supports in defining P2P and Buying Channel strategy in collaboration with the Global Procurement Process and Technology Owner and based on reports from the Analytics Specialist, identifying and considering automation potential and P2P/Channel effectiveness
10. Supports the relationship management with suppliers identified as key suppliers in the selected category, monitors performance of key strategic suppliers according to our Procurement guidelines
11. Implements supplier development activities; sets up cross-functional review meetings with key strategic suppliers to improve performance and further reduce cost
What You Bring
12. Master’s degree in business administration, engineering, law or equivalent
13. Professional experience in procurement management as a category/commodity manager
14. Excessive experience in developing commodity strategies and contracting within a large corporate environment
15. Strong experience in Office and Factory Supply, ideally in some of the following areas: Tools & MRO, Office Supplies, Waste, Print, Promo Items, Packaging and Components
16. Outstanding analytical and commercial skills, combined with a pragmatic way of thinking
17. Effective negotiation and conflict management skills
18. Profound contract and legal knowledge
19. Proficiency in English and German is required
20. Experience in working with a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) Partner
