Your main responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software in the context of data warehousing
2. Build harmonized data provisioning solutions, esp. data sourcing, coding, testing, versioning
3. Bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security
4. Directly interact with a broad spectrum of stakeholders in multiple regions
5. Perform research on various technologies and define improvements, build prototypes or core features as needed
6. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
Your skills and experience:
7. Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent certification and / or relevant work experience)
8. Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar role
9. Working knowledge of data warehousing, database structures, categories, properties, and best practices
10. Solid expertise in programming languages, in particular SQL/PLSQL, Python, Java, unix shell scripting / bash scripting for backend and databases
11. Knowledge of DevOps configuration management tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, TeamCity, Ansible, uDeploy)
12. Experience with tooling across the SDLC: e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Confluence, Artifactory, Git/BitBucket. You have implemented medium to major parts of a product, solving complex problems
13. Problem solving skills, ability to dive deep to find the root of the problem
14. Ability to research and become proficient in new technologies, e.g., Google Cloud
15. Very good in communicating and comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels within the organization
16. Excellent English, spoken and written
