We are looking for you as Head of Shipping (m/f/d) at our headquarters in Augsburg.

Your tasks:
* Management of the “Commercial Shipping” and “Shipping Control” teams, including further development of the team
* Responsibility for compliance with customs and foreign trade laws and regulations
* Control of proper and timely dispatch processing and revenue generation of customer orders
* Creation and ongoing maintenance of shipping guidelines, taking into account shipping, customs and customer specifications
* Ongoing optimization of internal and external shipping and customs processes, e.g. analysis and improvement of traceability and transparency in the supply chain (end-2-end)
* Introduction of EDI or comparable solutions to improve data transfer and communication with partners (Format SCM Tracking Tool)
* Initiation, management and participation in improvement projects within the company including supporting IT systems
* Close cooperation with related internal departments such as sales, project planning, production, purchasing, logistics, IT and finance, but also with external logistics partners, customers, suppliers and the external packer (in-house)
* Renting, managing and supporting our external warehouses, including commissioning and managing shuttle transportation to/from external warehouses
* Procurement of transport and logistics services; negotiations with forwarding partners
Your profile:
* Completed training in the logistics environment, e.g. forwarding agent or warehouse logistics specialist with additional qualifications such as master craftsman/business administrator etc. or completed studies with a focus on logistics, customs and foreign trade
* Several years of professional experience in shipping processing
* Initial management experience is an advantage
* Confident handling of IT programs (Office, ERP system, shipping software)
* Confident command of written and spoken German and English
* High level of problem-solving, planning and organizational skills
* Experience in project management
* High quality orientation
