What we are looking for:
To help us on our mission, we are looking for a talented and highly ambitious Software Developer Generalist. As a Software Developer Generalist, you will engage with AnyDesk's cross-functional team of developers to learn about their workflows, challenges, systems, and products they are building. With this knowledge and your passion for global connectivity and the way society functions, you will own your own projects, contribute to revolutionary ideas, and make a great impact on the way the internet is reinvented.
1. Attack every problem with enthusiasm and deep dive into their roots to find efficient and robust solutions
2. Be the developer that other developers can count on and ask for advice
3. Bring your voice to the table in team collaborations to ensure what it takes to build high quality software
4. Play a key role in business-critical projects in various areas of development (Client, Back-end, Research and others)
Basic Qualifications:
5. Very strong ability to listen attentively, apply logic and reason, follow- through, can-do attitude, and exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
6. High level of self-motivation and drive, as well as a strong ability to simplify problems
7. Professional or private experience in C++ or C
8. Expertise in at least one or more of the following areas and programming languages: C, C++, Erlang, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Bash, Python, CSS, HTML, SQL, REST
9. Proven track record of successfully shipping finished working products
10. Created and maintained one or more projects as side projects (for example, on GitHub)
11. Proof of exceptional software development skills - in companies or privately
12. Problem-solving mindset and a desire to learn
13. Reliable, independent, and accurate at work
14. Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable - no task is too big or too small
Preferred Skills and Experience:
15. Strong software design and development skills
16. Thorough knowledge of computer architecture and networks
17. Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing
18. Creative approach to problem solving
19. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements
20. Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative, and communicate effectively
21. Experience managing large scale systems
22. Developed and deployed software that has been used in real world applications or projects
