Description Job opportunity - Vertiv is looking for a new EHS Manager - DACH to join our dynamic team in Neuss, Germany Who are we? Within the DACH region: lead the implementation and delivery of Vertiv safety and environmental programs to achieve best in class safety performance, develop and implement company environmental policies and safety programs to comply with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Investigate safety incidents, near misses and environmental incidents. Report on KPIs on a monthly basis. Support EHS onsite audits, maintenance of the 14001 and 45001 ISO Standards and conduct various EHS related trainings. What kind of work will you be doing? • Work closely with the service operational leadership and support them with driving the Health & Safety culture across the team. • Communicate closely with EMEA EHS directors and EHS EMEA team to ensure sharing of incidents and corrective actions and alignment to best practices. • Ensure focus on Serious Injury & Fatality (SIF) prevention while incorporating latest safety advances in our local programs. • Actively participate as a member of the EMEA EHS team and support other regions of Europe when needed. • Encourage participation by all workers in proactive safety efforts. • Work with our projects department to audit and advise on EHS requirements during construction works & large projects on various sites. • Report on various EHS related proactive and reactive KPIs on a monthly basis. • Perform risk assessments (GBU’s). • Contribute to compliance & management of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. • Completion of EHS audits on site engineers to company specific requirements on various client’s sites throughout the DACH region. • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and corporate requirements in EHS areas. • Thorough investigation and reporting of injuries, incidents and near misses. Communication across Vertiv globally, to Vertiv leadership and with customers. What Would Be the Perfect Qualifications? • EHS university degree. • NEBOSH Certificate. • Occupational safety specialist (FaSi) certification or ability to obtain. • 5 years’ experience in the field. • Construction, Electrical, Thermal or Generator experience an advantage. • English (Written and Verbal - business level). • German (Written and Verbal - business level). • MS Office – user. • Smartsheets – user. • Sharepoint – user. ✨ What will make you successful? • Leadership, working with people, communication. • Tracking tasks / plans. • Analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making. • Accuracy / consistency / independence. • Self-motivated. • Communication skills. • Logical thinking, systematics and argumentation. • Team work, target orientation. • Positive thinking, perseverance.
