Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from a college or university in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related field and 5+ years of full-time experience in network administration or engineering roles, with at least 2 years' experience in a supervisory and/or leadership position. OR In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from a college or university in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related field and 7+ years of full-time experience in network administration or engineering roles, with at least 2 years' experience in a supervisory and/or leadership position.
Extensive knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and standards, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and wireless networking.
Hands-on experience with network hardware and software from leading vendors such as Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, Arista and Alcatel-Lucent.
Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience using the following software/technology: SD-WAN or SDN infrastructures, Aruba/Alcatel controller software and radius servers.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Required Certification: a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification on/or after 4/1/2023.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Office365, and technical troubleshooting methodology.
Cultural competence and ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or Information Technologies.
8+ years of full-time experience in network administration or engineering roles, with at least 4 years' experience in a leadership or management position.
Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Arista ACE 3, Fortinet NSE 3, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) or equivalent certifications preferred.
Experience supporting revenue-generating business functions within a complex matrixed environment.
Confident and articulate in presenting to customers, leadership, and other technical groups.
Duties Description As a key member of the Information Technology Services (ITS) team, the Infrastructure Services Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role will work closely with all ITS teams, individuals and vendors to ensure seamless delivery of Network Engineering and Operations projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of networking technologies, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record of managing complex network environments. The incumbent will remain abreast of current and emerging industry trends and best practices; identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements.

Personnel Management:
Interview, hire, train, coach, supervise and mentor Network Engineers and Technicians.
Oversee successful delivery of Infrastructure Services tasks, assignments and projects, creation of equipment/network documentation.
Services Delivered:
Design, implement, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
Working with our Information Security Officer (ISO), implement network security policies, procedures, and controls to protect against security threats and unauthorized access.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
Manage network capacity and scalability to accommodate growth and changing business needs.
Manage DNS, DHCP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP protocols to optimize network performance and reliability.
Implement LAN/WAN solutions and configure IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes.
Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure alignment of network infrastructure with business goals and objectives.
Evaluate new networking technologies and solutions to determine their suitability for adoption within the organization.
Develop and maintain documentation/diagrams of network configurations, procedures, and policies.
Working with our Chief Information Officer (CIO), oversee vendor relationships and contracts for network hardware, software, and services.
Facility Management:
Troubleshooting by reporting and resolving service requests and incidents through the College's Service Request System.
Assist in creating equipment budgets, obtain quotes for equipment purchases, order and purchase equipment and facilitate equipment repairs.

This position requires onsite presence during all working hours and is not eligible for remote or hybrid arrangements.
