THE GIG You will be an integral part in building the Dr. Martens brand in Germany by creating meaningful relationships with more consumers, positioning Dr. Martens as a premium brand for different seasons and wearing occasions, rooted in rebellious youth culture. As the DTC & Wholesale Marketing Manager DACH you will work internally with central Marketing, DTC and Sales teams as well as externally with 3rd party Retail accounts and creative agencies to develop a country-specific strategy and plan. You will be responsible for the creation and activation of Retail & Wholesale Marketing plans. Your plans will support Owned & Operated stores with a focus on our lighthouse city stores in Berlin. You will support our local Ecom platform by delivering relevant local content. And thirdly, you will collaborate with key commercial partners (on and offline) to build consistent plans with the overall EMEA Marketing strategy adhering to Global Brand & Product guidelines. Your success will be measured by consistently growing brand awareness, familiarity and engagement with the next generation of DM’s wearers as well as accelerating business performance in our own DTC channels and with key commercial partners. GENERIC Collaborate with relevant GLOBAL, EMEA and DACH stakeholders to ensure consistency and activate Marketing campaigns around key stories and strategic pillars Distribute and monitor the use of seasonal digital assets to ensure alignment with our partners Collaborate with the EMEA VM team to show up at our best at Retail & Wholesale Collaborate and contribute to editing reports and ensure circulation with key stakeholders You will manage a detailed critical path ensuring projects are met on time and on budget Set clear KPIs and evaluate all activity to ensure over-arching Commercial, Brand and campaign specific objectives are achieved DIRECT TO CONSUMER You will lead the execution of DTC Marketing plans and work closely with relevant stakeholders You will extend and localise product led storytelling with the local Ecom, Retail and Marketing teams to drive consumer connection and traffic You will work closely with the Retail Area managers, VM and store teams to support maturing stores as well as new stores through relevant Marketing initiatives, including Experiential activities where suitable Support Owned & Operated store openings in DACH to drive awareness of the brand & stores in strategic locations You will work closely with the E-Commerce team and support with content creation and initiatives to drive database growth You will collaborate with CRM to establish locally relevant initiatives You will formulate ways to optimise DTC consumer experience WHOLESALE You will work with relevant stakeholders to develop a localised Wholesale plan and strategy You will focus on Key accounts and digital partners to drive a Digital first approach You will analyse activity performance & track product sales You will be the direct point-of-contact for all 3rd party Retail accounts incl. Key Accounts, Pure Players and Independents You will be responsible for the Zalando Strategic Marketing plan and execution, aligned against the needs of the key markets to acquire and retain a new consumer whilst driving sell-through You will develop an Energy Marketing strategy and plan leveraging cultural moments and talents as well as building key product story Marketing plans to support Energy product launches and Icons support Support the commercial team with Sales appointments with sell-in tool kits Whilst your priority market remains Germany, you will activate country specific Wholesale Marketing initiatives in the Austrian & Swiss market to start building brand awareness and demand in these markets THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART Experience gained in Wholesale and DTC Marketing within an international fashion, lifestyle or cultural brand Fluent English & German is essential Strong communication and analytical skills Expertise in compelling storytelling Ability to dive deep on subject matters to provide thoughtful and comprehensive recommendations for a variety of complex situations Team-player with high level of flexibility and independence Self-motivated, creative and open-minded personality Ability to adapt to ever changing demands and react quickly and efficiently within a fast-paced environment A high standard of IT literacy is required WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
