We’re pleased to present the opportunity to join Urenco as a Contract Manager. Based at our Gronau site, you will assume functional accountability and be responsible for project contract management output for Urenco projects.
You will support a number of projects from initial handover through to full implementation and management, providing time and accurate reporting to inform and support business decisions.
The role will include managing commercial and financial aspects of contracts, supplying goods and services for one or more projects. You will be responsible for the administration of contracts and can therefore influence contractual cost and claims.
One important aspect of this position is having experience of engaging with external suppliers in specific industries and having working experience with engineering programmes.
What will your day look like?
1. Actively promote a pro-active safety culture, and be a role model, throughout the project lifecycle and across the Group.
2. Implement best practices for contract management.
3. Provision of guidance and support to project team on contractual and commercial issues arising from contracts, including interpretation, possible claims and issue resolution.
4. Manage the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of contracts and documents required in day-to-day activities.
5. Monitor contract performance and make management aware of any upcoming commercial or contract issues and deadlines.
6. Integrate with various Group Projects function, collaborating with counterparts on other Urenco sites.
What do you need to be great at this role?
1. Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline.
2. Contract Management accreditation such as SCL, IACCM, CIPS or equivalent.
3. Ability to analyse organisational requirements and critical success factors and translate these into bespoke contract management processes.
4. Good understanding of legal terms and conditions.
5. Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills.
6. Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with multinational internal and external stakeholders.
7. Excellent understanding of Contracts & Projects Environment, preferably within EPC industry and some experience of regulated industries.
8. Can converse in English and German.
