Hauptaufgaben
Assists the facility manager in implementing a health promotion/wellness program as part of the overall operation of the fitness center which incorporates the use of all physical activities and installation recreational facilities. Prepares and displays health promotion literature, counsel's individuals and groups and answers questions related to fitness program. Prepares fitness center and other areas of responsibility to host guest speakers and other scheduled health and fitness activities. Instructs participants that possess various levels of knowledge and represents a broad range of ages, backgrounds, and experiences. Develops self-paced fitness programs for individual participants, tailored to meet their specific fitness needs. Instructs participants in proper exercise techniques and ensures that safety rules are observed at all times. Monitors progress through various testing and evaluation methods to ensure that participants are working toward obtaining their individual objectives. Provides group instruction in aerobic activity and nautilus and free weight training ensuring that proper techniques are followed. Trains and recommends personnel for competitions in various sports. Opens and closes facility to maintain scheduled hours of operation and class instruction. Keeps daily attendance records of patrons using the facility and attending classes. Operates a sales program for fitness merchandise. Performs daily facility maintenance, and equipment preventive maintenance to insure facility and equipment is being maintained in accordance with established MACOM and DA Standards. Prepare athletic fields and playing surfaces for daily and seasonal competition.
Performs other duties as assigned.

C-5A:
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 2 years of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 2 years of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III: 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level IV: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years.
• Fitness certifications and work experience as a Personal Fitness Trainer required.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency level B2 required.
