We are currently looking for a Project Manager for our client in the logistics sector!
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage complex logistics projects involving heavy and over-dimensional transports, ensuring efficient and cost-effective solutions for clients.
* Oversee and coordinate sea and air freight logistics, ensuring that all necessary permits and applications are obtained in compliance with German regulations.
* Develop and implement tailored freight solutions for clients, maintaining high standards of service delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring all logistics operations are completed on time and within scope.
* Stay informed on regulatory changes, particularly with regard to transportation permits and applications in Germany.
* Handle risk management and problem-solving, ensuring quick and effective resolutions to any issues that arise during transport operations.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and customs regulations.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in logistics project management, with a focus on heavy and over-dimensional transports, sea, and air freight.
* Strong expertise in the permit and regulatory application process for logistics operations in Germany.
* Fluent in German (native or near-native proficiency) and English (advanced professional proficiency).
* Commercial training in freight forwarding, with a completed diploma (Kaufmann für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistungen / Speditionskaufmann).
* Proven experience managing complex logistics projects from planning through execution.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive project success.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
