Role Overview
The Director is responsible for developing and executing a strategic medical education plan aligned with business objectives across Asia & Europe. This role fosters innovation, builds partnerships, ensures compliance, and delivers impactful learning experiences. The Director leads a high-performing team to drive measurable outcomes, enhance HCP learning, and align with global standards. Reporting to the Senior Director of Medical Education, the role collaborates with commercial teams, BU leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure medical education initiatives support business priorities.
What will you be doing?
1. Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement a 1–3-year medical education strategy and calendar for SPM in international markets. Lead flagship programs at academies in Singapore, Munich, and the UK, ensuring world-class learning experiences. Manage program execution, scientific agenda development, budget, and compliance with global and regional regulations. Leverage digital platforms and blended learning methodologies for innovative education delivery.
2. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of 9 Program Managers across multiple regions. Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Ensure strategic alignment and execution of regional and local medical education initiatives.
3. Innovation & Educational Excellence: Integrate cutting-edge technology and methodologies to enhance learning experiences. Expand digital learning solutions through S+N Academy Online and omnichannel platforms. Develop region-specific programs based on HCP needs, leveraging data insights and faculty collaboration. Establish partnerships with educational societies and certification bodies for accredited programs.
4. KOL Engagement & Partnerships: Strengthen relationships with KOLs, faculty, and academic institutions. Oversee educational grants, fellowships, and strategic alliances. Align MedEd initiatives with commercial priorities and industry best practices.
5. Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Measure program effectiveness through KPIs, surveys, and feedback. Continuously refine strategies to enhance impact and engagement. Report key outcomes to senior leadership.
6. Additional Responsibilities: Support ad hoc projects and initiatives within the scope of the role. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
What will you need to be successful?
7. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a business-related discipline.
8. Experience: Medical education or marketing within medical devices, with strong business acumen and leadership skills.
9. Competencies: Strategic thinking, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive, adaptable mindset.
10. Other: Fluent in English, extensive international travel (~50%), and advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
