Your mission In this role, as part of our R&D team, you will be working on our high voltage propulsion battery prototypes and taking our battery management software stack to the next level. You will be able to contribute to all aspects of embedded software such as algorithms, real time operating systems, communication stacks, profiling, data acquisition, verification, dev-ops, release management, quality analysis and much more, enabling us to develop and test highly integrated, state-of-the-art aerospace battery packs. Your Day-to-Day Integrate algorithms to improve the battery monitoring. Develop new features to extend the capabilities of the battery management system. Implement communication between system components. Participate in software engineering discussions. Incorporate requirements from aircraft engineering. Research new technologies to resolve occurring challenges. Consider the high safety requirements of aerospace to develop top notch code. Your profile Electrical/electronic engineering student or similar. Significant C/C++ skills. Experience with developing and debugging embedded software. Experience with distributed version control system s (Git) and integrated development environment s (Visual Studio Code). Basic knowledge of common scripting languages like Python or Ruby. Basic electronics debugging skills and experience with common lab equipment (soldering, electrical measuring, signal analysis). Target-oriented workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills. Why us? Be a part of an ambitious team determined to shape the future of aviation. Enjoy flexible working hours: we believe in ownership and trust. subsidized EGYM Wellpass membership: your (mental) health is important for us Work in one of our offices in Munich or Delft. Since the restrictions by law on CO 2 emissions for domestic and short-haul air travel will stimulate Green Regional Air Mobility, we believe it's our mission to provide an aircraft for Zero emission regional flights. At VÆRIDION our goal is to develop, build and certify a full electric microliner carrying up to 9 passengers for Short-Haul and Regional Air Mobility by 2030. A full electric microliner is cleaner and cheaper to operate than other aeroplanes in its class, it provides a better travel experience door to door up to 500 km. We offer new optimized design based on proven principles, around proven and available technology in electric motors and batteries, that brings lowest risk and shortest route to certification.
