The "House of Knowledge", a highly digitalized meeting place with the adult education centre, city library, UniverCity and a market hall, is being built in an almost hundred-year-old brick building in Bochum's city centre. It is one of the most exciting projects of the Bochum Strategy. As IT Coordinator, you will play a key role in the technical implementation.
The project is initially limited until the end of 2028. You will nevertheless receive a permanent employment contract.
These tasks await you:
* You will act as an interface between the city's IT department, external partners and the innovative House of Knowledge project - a central project of the Bochum Strategy.
* You coordinate workflows between city requirements, innovative ideas of the House of Knowledge and the technical possibilities of IT - with effects on IT equipment, IT applications, IT security and organization.
* Their focus is on the digital integration of administrative workstations in the new House of Knowledge, in which the city library, adult education center, UniverCity and market hall will form a new kind of place for learning and experiencing together in the future.
* You will coordinate the management of external consulting companies to design and implement innovative digital services for customers
* You will ensure a smooth flow of information through regular communication with all stakeholders involved and make a significant contribution to the successful technical implementation of this unique project.
These are your qualifications and skills
* You have successfully completed a university or university of applied sciences degree with a focus on computer science or another IT-related discipline.
* Alternatively, you have completed vocational training as an IT specialist, IT systems administrator or IT clerk and have at least one year of relevant professional experience.
* You have knowledge of municipal IT infrastructures and project management (certification welcome)
* You are enthusiastic about digital transformation
* You are willing to continuously develop your skills, including on your own initiative.
* You have a very good command of German and English
* It is desirable that you have already gained professional experience with a municipal employer in a similar field of activity.
