The Opportunity
As a Bid Manager you will be the key link between Worldline Sales team and the business. You will be responsible for all elements of driving the bid forwards; orchestrating the bid team towards a successful client response. You will be responsible for a wide variety of solution focused bids ranging from traditional software development style client responses to leading edge solution proposals (Health, Mobility, Ticketing, Contact, Track&Trace…). This role also includes the management of the bid team with apportionment and prioritisation of the teams’ workload.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Responsible for a range of bids and tender stages in accordance with company procedures
2. The responsibility of the final production of the proposal in cooperation with delivery, legal, finance and sales departments
3. Co-ordinate and manage resources required to respond to business opportunities in order to ensure that proposals and contracts are in line with Worldline strategy, capabilities and also meets the clients’ expectations and requirements
4. The responsibility for the bid project plan and implementation, budget, processes, risk management & mitigation strategy, and all quality aspects concerning the bid preparation process
5. Managing the bid budget and adherence to it
6. Adhere to Worldlines’ governance process and work with the Sales Lead to take tenders through the stages of the control processes
7. Construction of P&Ls with the Finance and Sales teams to secure required bid budgets and the creation of business cases and customer pricing
8. Maintenance of our extensive Bid library and addition of new material as appropriate

9. At least 5 year experience in Bid Management ideally in a Services Integration or IT Product environment
10. Have highly articulate written skills with the ability to capture often complex concepts in a well-formed and clear written response
11. Strong presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
12. An excellent eye for detail with an emphasis on proofreading
13. Ability to manage communications and stakeholder engagement across various levels and roles across the business and with their clients
14. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, pressured environment
15. Self-motivated with high energy, resilience, creativity, passion and the hunger to learn, evolve and develop
16. The ability to understand and analyse market-related data
17. Adaptability to work flexible working patters to ‘get the job done’
18. Proficiency in German and very good level of English
19. Experience in: managing a bid team; creative writing; setting up business cases; relevant legal aspects (e.g. terms of conditions, penalty systems); have held client and supplier negotiations; experience in public tenders
