We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Manager to oversee IT procurement activities within our organization. The Category Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve cost-effectiveness and associated organizational objectives.
Your responsibilities
* Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for IT procurement categories, aligning with organizational objectives and stakeholder requirements.
* Implement and drive a high level of adoption of procurement policies, procedures, and programs for the category to ensure the overall Indirect Procurement target delivery.
* Execute cost-effectiveness programs designed and developed under the category strategy to realize significant savings in the short, mid, and long term.
* Responsible for the implementation of the overall Strategic Category Management Excellence Program, including contracts, tenders, planning, and forecasting.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop procurement strategies that support operational efficiency and sustainability goals.
* Develop relationships with strategic vendors to manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with relevant internal business units.
* Drive innovation and best practices in IT, leveraging technology solutions and process improvements to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes within the category scope, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.

* Team player with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Highly motivated and proactive, with a forward-looking mindset and a can-do attitude.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in cost modeling, market analysis, and financial analysis.
* Sense of urgency and ability to identify and solve problems proactively, anticipating and flagging issues before they occur.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to simplify complex concepts into simple messages.
* Project management skills with an ability to think outside the box.
* Excellent English skills, both written and oral; other languages are a plus.
* Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
* University degree in Economics, Finance, IT, Logistics, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
* Minimum of three or more years of experience in strategic procurement, category management, or a related role.
* Experience in or demonstrated capability of managing commercial results.
* Proven track record of developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
