The Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften - ISAS - e. V. develops efficient analytical methods for health research. Thus, it contributes to the improvement of the prevention, early diagnosis, and therapy of diseases like cardiovascular diseases, autoimmune diseases or cancer. Overall, the institute strives to advance precision medicine by combining knowledge from different fields such as biology, chemistry, pharmacology, physics, and computer science. ISAS is a member of the Leibniz Association and is publicly funded by the Federal Republic of Germany and its federal states.
This position will be to fulfill the work outlined in the consortium project ‘B2B-RARE: Bench to bedside - Mechanisms of rare diseases and personalized treatment’, funded by EFRE-NRW.
Scientist / Postdoc (m/f/d): Multidimensional omics data analysis
Bioinformatics data analysis
Biostatistical data analysis
Data integration and analysis using knowledge graphs
Linkage of omics data with pathogenesis and drugs
Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics (or a similar subject)
Experience in programming languages such as Java or Python is required
Experience in databases (e.g., neo4J) is required
Understanding biomedical research and knowledge of biochemical processes
Good presentation and writing skills
Proactive, independent and solution-oriented way of working
Fluent English (spoken and written)
