I feel like we are the change the company wants to see. ” Your role as a Trainee - Market Analytics & Readiness The Batteries team within BA Wind is developing and constructing batteries into wind and solar farms to boost and enable their business. We are responsible for all large-scale battery projects from feasibility check-up until commissioning and handover. Overall project development moves fast and in the dynamic world of batteries a strong and pro-active general project support and execution is essential for project success. Your responsibilities include: Supporting projects in getting market readiness, as coordinating towards Business Area markets or external trading parties Maintaining the interface towards the trading party, Business Area Markets and if needed external trading partners with regards to market readiness for batteries Analysing and documenting of requirements for planned use case scenarios Working closely together with our offtake contract managers on securing revenues via commercial & Trading contracts (e.g. PPAs, subsidies) Conduct in-depth analysis of emerging and evolving regulations, focusing on energy market design, battery integration, and solar PV policies. Identify opportunities to shape the legislative landscape to align with BU SoBa’s objectives. Qualifications Your qualifications as a Trainee - Market Analytics & Readiness To succeed in this position, we are looking for individuals who possess both the professional and personal skills to thrive in a dynamic, global environment. Below are the key qualifications we seek: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Energy Policy, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline. Some first knowledge of energy market design and regulatory frameworks, particularly for renewables, batteries, and hybrid energy solutions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in translating complex regulations into actionable business insights. Fluency in German and English (written and verbal); additional language skills are a plus. You should also recognize yourself in: Interest and first experience in energy transition, ideally with a focus on German energy markets and renewables. Previous engagement with battery storage or renewables is a plus Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in conveying technical and regulatory information to various stakeholders. To be considered for our traineeship, we are looking for candidates who should: Be a recent graduate with an academic degree or expected graduation before September 2025. Have maximum one year of work experience after completing your most recent degree. Interns and student jobs will not be considered. Be fluent in English. Skills in other languages can be a merit.
