Responsibilities
1. Experimental studies in the lab involving downstream unit operations (e.g. chromatography, filtration) and corresponding analytics (e.g. HPLC, cGE, ELISA, qPCR)
2. Optimization and automation of lab and data analysis workflows
3. Calibration and validation of mechanistic models as well as optimization of downstream unit operations using GoSilico software
What is important to us
4. Student in one of the following or equivalent areas: bioengineering, biotechnology, bioinformatics, chemical engineering, technical biology
5. High level of motivation, good team working skills and ability to implement pragmatic solutions
6. Basic experience with preparative chromatography and/or filtration techniques for protein purification
7. High interest and ideally basic experience in mechanistic modeling of downstream unit operations
8. Basic experience in programming (e.g. Python, MATLAB, C++) is considered a plus
9. Internship period of at least 3 months plus thesis of 6 months
