About the position Join a highly skilled, cross-functional team to build a mission-critical big data application for real-time traffic monitoring. You’ll play a key role in designing and implementing a scalable data platform focused on analyzing truck traffic across the country. Our tech stack includes Python, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, MinIO/S3, and Kubernetes. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and implementing a scalable data platform for analyzing and monitoring truck traffic Ensuring data quality and security through robust validation and monitoring mechanisms Developing data models and interfaces to support seamless integration and insightful visualization Your profile Strong programming skills and a background in software engineering (minimum 3 years) with expertise in Python. Additional languages such as Scala and TypeScript are benefitial. Extensive knowledge of microservice architecture, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs Proven experience in an agile development environment Proficiency in TDD, BDD, and clean code principles Experience working with cloud systems (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) A bachelor's degree in a STEM or similar discipline (advanced degrees a plus) Why us?
