Brambles has a clear and well-established corporate strategy which has delivered strong performance over many years; however, this strategy is continually evolving to ensure ongoing success and alignment with changing customer needs. The purpose of this position is to ensure that the Brambles Group strategy and the strategic programs that underpin it are rigorously developed, continually evolved, and effectively executed. Reporting into the Chief Digital Officer, this role will be critical in embedding digital within the enterprise corporate strategy as Brambles evolves to a data solutions-led organization and will oversee many of the key growth initiatives that support Bramble’s future success. The SVP Strategy will chair the global strategy team, be a member of the Digital Leadership Team, and intends to sit on the Group ELT within 2-3 years.

Key Accountabilities
1. This individual has full responsibility for ensuring that the Group strategy and the programs that underpin it are rigorously developed, continually evolved, and effectively executed.
2. Partnering with regional presidents (CEOs) and regional/functional strategy leads to define and execute their strategies.
3. Identifying global areas of opportunity, defining the associated strategy, and executing through the regional and functional business units.
4. Close collaboration across all business unit teams and corporate functions, including closely supporting the ELT to drive alignment around strategy.
5. Lead the annual strategy planning process, including bringing together key discussions for the Brambles’ board in semi-annual review sessions.
6. Responsible for ensuring individual business unit and regional plans are consistent with the overall corporate strategy and that the ELT and the Board have confidence in the capability to deliver those plans.
7. Effectively partner with Brambles Investor Relations to ensure the company strategies and plans are well articulated and appreciated by the external market.
8. Partner with Corporate Finance to oversee the Group-wide portfolio of investment to ensure that Brambles maximizes its performance and deploys its capital to the most important priorities.
9. Lead the Digital Strategy team to define and deliver the Digital strategy for Brambles.
10. Member of the Digital Leadership Team and Chair of the Global Strategy Team.
11. Support the building of strategic capability across the wider business to identify, analyze, and make better strategic decisions.

7. A deep understanding of how businesses work with the ability to see the big picture and manage the business taking into account a wide variety of metrics (revenue, ROI, cash flow, operating profit, etc.).
Experience and Qualifications
1. MBA / Graduate Degree in Strategic Planning or similar.
2. 15 years of professional experience in in-house strategy roles in large global organizations. A mix of consulting and in-house experience would be preferable.
3. Individuals with strong logistics expertise would be highly valued; however, experience in the FMCG or Retail sectors could also be very relevant.
4. Successfully operated within organizations having a large international presence and been part of a global management team.
5. Crafted Digital strategy and successfully embedded technology to elevate business performance and improve TSR.
6. Possess credibility as a leader in strategic, financial, and operational discussions with internal stakeholders, advisors, and Board members.
