Job Overview
Key account management: support for existing customers
Business development: Expansion of the customer structure in the defined sales region / focus area to increase the market share and profitable sales of the SMS (Sensor Manufacturing Solution) division in the industrial and medical markets.
- Profitable growth and expansion of national and international sales activities; recognizing potential and initiating sales for customer-specific sensors and solutions
- Support of selected strategic customers and key accounts (responsible for own customer portfolio; definition via valid CRM system)
- Analysis and penetration of key accounts to generate demand and acquire new projects in existing and new areas/departments of customers
- Continuous and independent account activity planning and implementation incl. monthly reporting (update in sales meeting)
- Carrying out potential, trend and competition analyses in the region (focus area)
- Market development (BDM) and alignment of acquisition activities to target customers defined with sales management and taking into account the SMS technology roadmap
- Sales responsibility for the area for which you are responsible, including monthly reconciliation of the demand forecast
- Customer support in cooperation with the internal specialist departments
- Sales controlling, including sales planning for own customer portfolio, monthly reporting to the sales manager, identifying, analyzing and reacting to deviations from plan
- Close cooperation with the technical departments to develop technical concepts, offers and the sales strategy
- Responsible for the quotation process, pricing, negotiations, contract drafting
- Representation of the company at events, congresses and trade fairs
What your background should look like:
- Technical university degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering or similar
- > 5 years of experience in sales of customer-specific solutions/technologies in B2B business with knowledge of project management and project sales or application engineering
- Knowledge of a manufacturing company in the electronics industry for the automotive sector, industry and/or medical technology
- Written and spoken English language skills (business fluent)
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for new ideas and approaches
- Integrity and loyalty, goal orientation, strong closing skills
- Experience in working with CRM databases
- Proven success in customer expansion, strategic customer development, key account management and sales/revenue growth
- Willingness to travel (20-40%); experienced with digital communication media e.g. MS Teams
- Independent, self-organized, success-oriented working style
- Strong customer orientation as well as strong communication skills and a confident, correct and inspiring demeanor
