Job Description
Purpose of the role
1. The position will report directly to the Director of EMEA Climate Smart Ag Origination.
2. This unique newly created role will handle the responsibilities of business development, coordination between Commercial and Origination trading/ Regen Ag and building & rolling out programs.
3. The primary role of the position is to pitch and drive Differentiation and Regenerative Agriculture activity and programs to customers and clients and to manage the execution of contracts, protect ADM’s Position, Deliver on Climate Smart Goals, Unlock Growth at an Accelerated Rate, and Improve the Customer Experience
Responsibilities
4. Expected to be an expert on climate smart solutions as it relates to our enterprise offerings.
5. Manage the climate smart solutions product portfolio and management.
6. Coordinate and ensure delivery on KPI’s to meet annual climate smart goals.
7. Targeted promotion of our Regenerative Agriculture Program and other Differentiation Platforms
8. Partner with business development, marketing, legacy sales, and KAM organization to –Support engagement and activation of climate smart solutions for key target customersTo identify customer’s sustainable sourcing strategies, challenges and needsRespond to customer inquiries for pricing, information, and other topics regarding Climate Smart AgDevelop an overall value proposition for the business and for each product or product line.
9. Leverage climate smart solutions to deepen customer relationships, increase customer dependency and create growth opportunities.
10. Coordinate the delivery of projects from project initiation to project closure to ensure that projects meet the required deliverables and align with enterprise goals.
11. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams which may include Business Unit Managers, Corporate Communications, General Managers, Marketing, Sales, R&D/Technical and other key stakeholders to drive results.
12. Coordinate with marketing team to create story lines and customized presentations to promote our Regen Ag and Differentiation solutions.
13. Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
14. Understanding the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met.
15. Develop, plan and support customer engagements in conjunction with the broader sales team in delivering our Regen Ag and Differentiation solutions.
16. Assist in Educating and training sales colleagues and the broader organization on the fundamentals of our Regen Ag and Differentiation programs.
Experience
17. Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 6-8 years’ experience as account manager, business development, sales, including customer facing experience.
18. Has strong passion in relation to Sustainability & Regen Agriculture.
19. Professional demeanour with exceptional communication (written, verbal and presentation skills) and interpersonal skills.
20. Candidate must be customer centric with a confirmed ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with people at all levels inside and outside of the organization.
21. Background and experience in complex project management. Ability to lead complex cross functional projects and influence teams of both internal and external stakeholders.
22. Commercial experience w/in Food, Fuel, Feed and/or Industrial Industry
23. Experience managing global businesses and/or customers.
24. Track record of successfully executing complex projects that require diplomacy w/in a matrix organization.
25. Computer proficiency with proven ability in the use of spreadsheet, database, presentation, and word processing software applications within a Windows based operating environment.
26. Ability to travel up to 20%
