Your main tasks and responsibilities:
In this technically and commercially demanding role, you will support our customers and the Nuclear sales team along the entire sales process. Your day-to-day work will among others include
1. Analysing customer requirements, particularly of complex applications and products for nuclear power plants
2. Independent development of suitable technical solutions with the involvement of specialist departments
3. Ensuring compliance with relevant export control regulations/laws (Citizenship EU member state necessary)
4. Consulting customers and the sales team on possible pump applications and in preparation of specifications
5. Configuration of pumps and accessories
6. Enquiry and evaluation of subcontractor offers as well as corresponding expediting
7. Co-operation with the plants in the Energy & Infrastructure Business Unit factory network
8. Analysis and evaluation of commercial as well as technical risks of projects at the bidding stage, corresponding negotiations together with specialist departments as well as development of approaches to minimise risks in the event of an order
9. Preparation and realisation of presentations of technical offers
10. Indirect management & co-ordination with multidisciplinary functions as part of the bid preparation
11. Preparation of high-quality technical/commercial offers on time and in line with market requirements using current tendering tools & procedures independently or with guidance.
12. Review quote received and challenge as necessary internal as well as external stakeholders to ensure a competitive proposal is submitted meeting Sales / market expectation
13. Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.
14. Participation in sales negotiations, corresponding preparation and follow-up in co-operation with sales department
15. Leading technical negotiations with subcontractors
16. Ensuring a complete and successful order handover to project team
17. Regular maintenance of our sales systems and the data contained therein
18. Project reporting or any other duties as relevant to the role defined by the Head of Tendering, Nuclear
To succeed in this role, you will need:
19. Successfully completed technical studies (ideally mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or process engineering or equal)
20. Structured way of working, ability to break down complex issues together with the bid team
21. Experience in at least one of the following disciplines: pump design, international tender or sales, project management or equivalent
22. Ideally intercultural competences
23. Sound knowledge of pumps or rotating equipment and accessories
24. Ideally first experience with nuclear power plant projects
25. Fluent in English language (C2), other foreign languages an advantage
26. Willingness and ability for international travel (approx. 20%)
27. Entrepreneurial mindset and commercial acumen
28. Social competence and team skills, customer orientation
29. Assertiveness, resilience and goal-/solution-orientation
30. High motivation and flexibility
