Currently Taylor Hobson is looking for a person to take over the role of the
International Field Specialist (m/f/d)
Based in our Headquarters in Weiterstadt close to Frankfurt/Main (GER) or Leicester (UK).
Your Job with us:
* Main responsibility of the role is to manage and support international service teams on service, installation, maintenance and repair on non-contact metrology systems (LuphoScan, TalyScan, Whitepoint).
* The person is to become the technical expert in the field on the Non-contact metrology tool product line of TH (LuphoScan, TalyScan, Whitepoint). They will be working with the local service teams around the globe and will be responsible to ensure the high-quality service availability internationally.
* This includes to identify, establish, and manage local field service specialists and to work with them and with the local teams on the organization and support of high-level service tasks. Part of this is the coordination and maintenance of international spare parts availability for this technology.
* Further part of the role is to organize schedule and establish regular service training on Non-contact metrology - remote as well as on-site - including a frequent update on new R+D and Application features.
* For the job, work very close to the customer is a necessity – frequent visits at international customers require the willingness and ability to travel internationally as well as an open and friendly personality when communicating with the customers.
* Passion for the technology, flexibility on the daily tasks and the willingness to go the extra mile for satisfied customers recommends the applicant for the requested position.
REQUIRED ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
* Excellent technical understanding of mechanical electronical and Multi-disciplined Engineering
* Very good 3-dimension perception
* Basic understanding of Optics, Laser- Fibreoptics, and Interferometry
* Good organizational skills and comprehension of careful documentation
* Good computer skills in most common software tools (e.g. MS Windows)
* Good and diplomatic people skills – team worker and -manager, also when communicating and interacting with customers
* Flexibility on given changes - willingness to adapt and improve
* Willingness to travel internationally
* Working flexible hours if needed
* Fluent English language in spoken word and writing, German is a big plus
* Valid driving license
EXPERIENCE/DEGREE/CERTIFICATION:
* Degree in mechanical engineering or comparable
* Relevant years of experience in (mechanical) service work
* Proven experience in non-contact metrology field service to your advantage
* Willingness and ability to travel internationally (up to 70%)
* Role located in Weiterstadt(GER) or Leicester (UK)
