We are currently supporting a fast-growing, regulated fintech platform in their search for a Senior Partner Manager to join their Commercial & Partnerships function. This company operates with a full banking license and is a leading provider of embedded finance infrastructure across Europe. Their API-first platform enables businesses to integrate financial services such as digital banking, card issuing, payments, lending, and identity services directly into their own offerings.
This is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of key commercial partners—fast-scaling fintechs and consumer brands building financial products on top of the platform.
The Role
You will be the primary commercial point of contact for a defined group of strategic partners and own the full lifecycle of the relationship—from onboarding and growth to retention and compliance. This is not a typical account management role; it combines commercial ownership, regulatory awareness, and cross-functional coordination in a regulated financial services environment.
Core Responsibilities:
* Revenue Growth & Account Expansion: Own and drive the commercial success of your partner portfolio. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, execute joint business planning, and maximise long-term value.
* Product & Regulatory Expertise: Act as a trusted advisor on regulated banking products including cards, IBANs, payments, lending, and KYC/AML. Translate regulatory frameworks into actionable, compliant solutions for your partners.
* Strategic Selling: Understand your partners’ business models and market positioning to position embedded finance solutions that align with their growth ambitions.
* Account Development: Lead structured account planning, set joint objectives, and align internal stakeholders across Product, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to deliver on goals.
* Data-Led Decision Making: Use data to monitor partner health, track KPIs (e.g. activation, volume, go-live), and steer commercial and operational performance.
* Partner Advocacy & Retention: Monitor satisfaction and lead proactive issue resolution to ensure high partner NPS and long-term retention.
* Compliance Oversight: Serve as the first line of defence in ensuring your partners meet regulatory, outsourcing, and contractual obligations.
* Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive internal coordination across departments to manage partner expectations, resolve escalations, and ensure a smooth experience for all parties.
Your Profile
We are looking for a commercially sharp and strategically minded individual who can thrive in a complex, regulated, and fast-paced fintech environment. The ideal candidate brings:
* 7+ years of experience in account or partner management, ideally in fintech, banking, or embedded finance
* Strong knowledge of regulated financial products (cards, payments, accounts, KYC/AML, etc.)
* Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder commercial relationships, including contract negotiations and regulatory oversight
* A structured, analytical mindset and proficiency in KPI management and performance reporting
* Experience with solution selling and account planning frameworks
* Fluency in English is required. Fluency in German is considered a plus.
* A proactive, collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Comfort working across legal, product, compliance, and operations functions
* A hands-on approach, with the ability to bring clarity in ambiguous situations
