The Accounting division of RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST) deals with the accounting of commodity trades in the context of RWE's global trading business, as well as the segment financial statements of RWEST.
Our department CAO & Settlement is the central commodity accounting service provider for the RWE Group’s conventional and renewable assets together with RWEST’s Commercial Asset Optimisation (CAO) department. In addition we process and settle all commodity related invoices globally on behalf of the RWE Group.
About the role
* Posting of commodity-related incoming invoices as well as netting statements.
* Group internal payment reconciliation, whereby a close exchange with other accounting teams in the RWE group is necessary.
* Support the further development of IT systems as well as active assistance in the automation of manual processes.
* Support of internal and external monthly reporting.
* Contact person for external auditors and internal stakeholders.
Job requirements and experience
* 2-3 years of experience in Accounting or a related field (e.g. Back Office).
* Experience with SAP (FI,SD,MM) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access).
* High degree of commitment, initiative and ability to work in a team.
* Exact, independent way of working with the ability to quickly familiarize oneself with complex issues as well as good organization, even under time pressure.
* Excellent command of German and English.
* Interest in energy trading.
Advantageous, but not essential
* Experience of developing automated processes.
* Good knowledge of energy trading.
