Department overview:
Nomura's Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments and investment funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in fixed income and equity securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products. We have taken market-leading positions across the globe by leveraging the strength of our talent, client relationships and technology.
By developing strong relationships with our client base through consistent interaction, independent advice and pre-eminent access to Asia, we have built a powerful global franchise across credit, interest rates and currency products. Our client services cover both high-volume flow products and carefully tailored structured solutions. We have adapted to the changing financial landscape to build a client centric focus differentiated by innovation, electronic and service excellence and market-leading derivatives capabilities.
Key tasks:
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors in Germany and Austria.
* Identify wallet and cross-selling opportunities with FX, Credit and Structured products.
* Work with the global sales team to provide seamless sales coverage to our key clients globally.
* Develop trade ideas to pitch to clients and stay at the forefront of a changing environment
* Partner with Trading, SRM and Strategy teams to help expand the touchpoints with our key clients.
Desired profile:
* Excellent German language silks (native or C2)
* Highly energetic with an entrepreneurial mind-set, a proven ability to make cold calls and build relationships from scratch.
* Excellent team work and communication skills.
* Excellent understanding of fixed income products including interest rate derivatives
* Proactive problem solving ability and analytical skills.
* Strong understanding of the regulatory environment of the local account base
* Ability to partner with and manage multiple stakeholders within the business.
