JOB OVERVIEW:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for exploring evolving dynamic business models in the Energy Storage Utility-Scale market as well as mapping major stakeholders on those. He/she will be also responsible for developing and executing new projects and accounts with EPC companies, Developers and IPPs in the Renewable market, with a special focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The BDM is also mainly responsible for identifying and attracting new opportunities and/or projects to increase the customer share for TE Energy and driving the project pipeline.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Map the market to align with TE Energy’s strategy and product roadmap, ensuring revenue growth, account penetration, and customer satisfaction. Key areas include:
o Market Analysis: Track BESS developments, market share, competitor strengths and weaknesses, technologies, trends, and external factors.
o Customer Insights: Understand buying cycles, goals, growth segments, priorities, key stakeholders, and global presence.
o Growth Strategy: Identify ways to outperform competitors, regain lost business, and increase market share while enhancing profitability.
o Internal Communication: Share customer information and growth plans with internal teams (Sales, - Technical Service, Product Management, Engineering).
o Key Markets: Focus on growing European markets such as Spain, Germany, Italy, UK, and Poland.
* Implement and support marketing strategy, by demonstrating TE products in a working environment and support relevant industry events in the region.
* Provide after-sales support and attend industry events to showcase TE products.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
* 5-8+ years in sales management or business development.
* Experience with Utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), ideally as a product or project manager.
* Skilled at finding and pursuing new business opportunities and building strong executive relationships.
* Good understanding of BESS products and technologies, and the relevant market.
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; valid driver’s license required.
* Excellent English communication skills; additional languages (German or Italian) are a plus.
* Proficient with sales tools (e.g., SalesForce) and MS Office.
* Comfortable working in complex, ambiguous situations and across different locations.
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
