As the Senior Technical Writer (m/f/d) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, you take a leading role supporting the Technical Documentation Department with its project deliverables and processes. As a member of project teams, you use your advanced skills in technical writing for creating high quality, user-orientated content (text and media) for existing product lines and new product development in our Agile development environment.
This permanent, fulltime position is for the Technical Documentation Department in Munich, Germany.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Ensure high quality and technical accuracy of content (you adhere to the company’s style guides, terminology guidelines, and relevant best-practice guidelines) and compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Effectively communicate project status and issues to the Technical Publications Project Manager and/or other stakeholders, as required.
3. Develop your soft- and technical skills for supporting Technical Publications activities and objectives.
4. Contribute to our localization process, possibly taking a lead role.
5. Provide senior-level support for the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs processes that the team adheres to.
The essential requirements of the job include:
6. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or related field and at least 5 years of full time technical writing experience, ideally in the medical device field
7. Advanced-level skills in communication, writing, and grammar in the English language at the native-speaker level
8. Ability to take ownership of small projects, guide and or mentor team members, and effectively collaborate with SMEs and project leads
9. Advanced-level experience in the localization of technical documentation in a regulated environment
10. Expert in understanding, and the use of, content management systems (CMSs), XML, and DITA
A plus is if you have extensive experience in the following:
11. SDL TriSoft, XMetal, Acrolinx, Illustrator
12. Creating media content (video and still imagery)
13. Terminology management
14. Working in a diverse, multinational R&D environment, and in an Agile development process
15. German and or other language skills
