The Team:
The Operations organization at Cognex is responsible for achieving the cost, quality and delivery requirements of our customers globally. It partners with multiple business units for the design and development of products and throughout active product lifecycles. This position is part of the Operations New Product Introduction (NPI) team, which is integral to this success of every Cognex product.
The Role:
To achieve key performance metrics for their assigned products within NPI, this Program Manager will develop schedules, manage milestones, prepare phase gate reviews, and drive cross-functional global resources.
Essential Functions:
1. Lead planning and deployment for all required Operations resources including procurement, strategic sourcing, manufacturing engineering, test development, NPI production, and distribution.
2. Partner with global business unit development engineering and product marketing teams to identify all obstacles to on-time release, quality objectives and cost targets throughout the new product development and introduction process. Drive escalation and conflict resolutions.
3. Coordinate Operations budgets associated with the products.
4. Contribute to and drive continuous improvement and enhancement processes.
5. Collaborate closely with product marketing teams to monitor and maintain product lifecycles and transitions.

7. Knowledge of design for the manufacturability, assembly, test and manufacturing test development on industrial, electro-mechanical products.

Minimum education and work experience required:
14. BS degree in engineering or a related business discipline is required.
15. 8+ years of relevant experience in high-tech, electro-mechanical products in volume production.
16. Experience with integrated (hardware and software) technology products is a strong plus.
17. Experience working on a global scale preferred
