Job Summary: Planning, organizing, and directing Galley Insert Product Development & Qualification projects. Making sure projects are on time, on budget, Commercial Aircraft Inserts Herborn, Germany by direct reporting to Technical Manager and in-direct reporting to Engineering VP. Summary Of Duties Gather all consistent input from customers to initiate the development logic Identify development logic key parameters Identify potential project margins Set the main development milestones and justify choices Determine key resources (material & human) Depending on the development test to be performed, define the levels of representativeness of the system (specifications and pass/fail criteria) or its constituents Project structuration Define and maintain the various project structures (e.g., PBS, WBS, OBS…) Define NRC, RC, and DMC (direct maintenance costs) estimation cycle and estimate them before project kick-off Develop and maintain the project schedule Manage Manpower capacity and skills Express and manage workload needs & skills (associated hypothesis, make or buy strategy, load/capacity, arbitration process) Project/work-package execution & performance Prepares presentations and leads development reviews (engineering, industrialization, service) for the given work package and/or product Monitors and communicates project/work-package schedule, KPIs and assertions Coordinates with internal/external teams/customers as well as suppliers to ensure critical issues are addressed in a timely fashion Provide technical expertise for technical choices and coaching during project milestone meetings such as MERs, IDRs, and Customer reviews to ensure objectives are met and work is accomplished efficiently Manage the timeless of actions treatment issued from recommendations linked to critical and major issues from technical design reviews Works closely and constructively with all other functions and internal/external customers to gain consensus on the best strategy to accomplish project goals Prepare summary reports for internal management and customer Manage risks and opportunities Set-up tasks forces to review to resolve issues Implement rituals & visual management technics to track efficiently project progress on economical, technical, and planning aspects to secure project achievements Asses project progress thanks to earned value management (combines scope, schedule and costs) Manage project reserves Monitor DMC/NRC/RC (as well as other project KPIs) status and track associated change approval process Manage compliance of our responses to customer specifications Manage milestones Manage project change management (change request, change decision, change implementation file and new baselines) Manage and lead the project Team Take part in program Team meetings and provide support to program when dealing with the customer and authorities Contribute to the preparation of proposals Drive on-quality delivery of the product by monitoring key project deliverables as well as by ensuring key quality centric deliverables/steps are done/followed (functional analysis, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, design review) Project/work-package closure Prepare and manage project closure (organize the teams ramps down, take the benefits of all experiences captured during the project, e.g. lessons learned/RETEX, close properly the activities, documents referential, budgets and archive project sources and environment)
